Riley Socks Apparel is a purpose-driven Canadian loungewear brand inspired by the life and story of founder Riley Allen. At just 18 months old, Riley was diagnosed with a rare cancer, Dermatofibrosarcoma Protuberans (DFSP), and underwent a year of biological chemotherapy, a 12-hour reconstructive surgery, and a year in a leg brace. Her right leg was reconstructed from the knee down, and a skin graft now covers the surgical area, where she continues to wear a protective sock. Riley’s journey inspired the children’s book Riley Socks, written by her mother, Leahanne Allen, which tells a story of hope and resilience for children facing illness. Building on that legacy, Riley created Riley Socks Apparel to inspire change, raise awareness, and encourage resilience in those facing challenges such as illness, pain, or mental health struggles. The brand represents comfort, courage, and a community built on hope and growth.
