Hosted at the Aurora Public Library, join this Victorian Era Book Discussion Group to engage with literary works and artifacts from the time period. Immerse yourself in the social, political and daily life of the Victoria Era. Book discussions will be complimented by artifacts from the Aurora Historical Collection, sparking conversation and bringing to life topics explored through reading about that fascinating period in history. Library membership not required. Program open to adults only and registration is required. The books are the following: February 23rd is "North And South" (by Elizabeth Gaskell), then April 13th is "Alias Grace" (by Margaret Atwood), and finally June 8th is "Jane Eyre" (by Charlotte Brontë). A limited number of books available to participants who are members with the Aurora Public Library, or you can bring your own book. Email colguin@aurorapl.ca to reserve your copy if you have a library membership with the APL. A partnership between the Aurora Historical Society and the Aurora Public Library. *The original meeting date for February 23rd has been moved to March 2nd due to inclement weather.
